9fans is a list for discussion about Plan 9 and related technologies. It is moderated (as of December 2024) to keep discussion on-topic, helpful, and ensure our Code of Conduct is upheld. More detailed moderation guidelines are below.

Moderation Guidelines

9fans is intended for discussion of Plan 9 and related systems and technologies. This includes anything derived from Plan 9 (including forks or derivative systems). Messages chiefly generated by AI (LLMs or related systems) should not be posted to 9fans.

Users should treat others with respect. Debate over issues is encouraged, but do not engage in personal attacks. Avoid being critical about people asking questions.

In addition, like all Plan 9 Foundation spaces, 9fans is subject to our Code of Conduct.

New users or users violating these terms may be placed in a moderation queue and see their posts delayed. Repeated or flagrant violation will result in removal from the list. If you are in doubt about a message, you are encouraged to mail the admins of the list.
